What I think humanity means is being able to see yourself through other people's eyes and putting yourself in other people's shoes. In the video Chris Abani talks about being able to put a mirror in front of yourself and seeing what others see as yourself. What I think he meant by that is seeing someone doing something heroic or something kind, and asking yourself that at that moment would you do the same? In the video he also talks about when his mother and his four other brothers traveld through camps during the war and when they made it to the airport so they could leave the country. They looked horrible and a women saw them and she gave them all her clothing and toys she had with her, and how one little act of kindness could go a long way. One of the things he also said is that "we are never more beautiful then when we are the most ugly." What that means to me is that when you are faced with a problem, that is when we get to see who we really are. And that is what I think it means to be human.
Great job. Nice use of examples from the video! 5/6
This picture means to walk in someone's shoes and being able so see their point of view because I feel it's really important to be able to do that.
Great job. Nice use of examples from the video!
